Founded in 2012 by Arnau Rovira and Teresa Galván, this brewery has carved out a niche for itself in the beer industry, blending everything they learned from their respective international experiences with the commitment to crafting the unique and irreverent beers that characterize them.
Nomadic Origins: "Gipsy Brewers"
Like many renowned brewers, Arnau and Teresa began their journey as nomadic brewers, exploring the world of beer in Germany and Denmark, and soon after, in their own homeland. However, upon their return, their beers quickly found a place on the national scene, leading them to establish their own brewery in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons (Penedès).
Over a decade mastering the art of brewing
With more than 12 years dedicated to brewing, Cervesa Espiga has grown in team size and production, while maintaining its initial ethos: to craft natural beers with character, enjoying every step and savoring every sip.
Currently, their factory has a production capacity of 200,000 liters per year, and they distribute their products nationally and internationally across Europe.

Arnau and Teresa not only share a passion for crafting distinctive beers but also a vocation.
We could say that Cervesa Espiga is the culmination of their dedication—both being biologists—to giving personality and a special character to each of their creations.

Espiga is a versatile brand always ready to experiment with new and refreshed styles. With more than 200 different brews under their belt, including fixed, special, seasonal, and collaborative editions, Espiga approaches brewing as something playful and fun.
Their distinctive touch involves playing with hops and their characteristics, especially if they are fruity. In all their beers, you will taste fruity, herbaceous, and very crisp notes.
