Leffe

Leffe is much more than a beer: it is a journey to the roots of the Belgian brewing tradition. Born in 1240 at the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Leffe in Dinant, this abbey beer retains centuries of monastic legacy, combining ancestral know-how with modern production. Its origin goes back to the pre-monstran canons, who made beer to guarantee drinking water and sustain their community. What began as a necessity, became a brewery jewel with its own identity.

Over the centuries, Leffe Abbey has endured natural disasters, wars and even revolutions. However, the brewing spirit has persisted. After the revival of production in 1952, and thanks to a pioneering agreement between abbey and commercial brewery, Leffe became one of the first brands to promote the “abbey beer” model that today triumphs throughout the world. Leffe is currently made at Stella Artois brewery in Louvain, under the AB InBev group, without losing his monastic soul.

They are characterized by their aromatic intensity, elegant body and a taste that evokes tradition and sophistication. Their range includes varieties such as Leffe Blonde, Leffe Brune, Leffe Triple or Leffe Rituel, among others, all with different profiles but with a common seal: balance, depth and a finish full of nuances. They are beers that respect the history, but that are enjoyed in the present with every sip.

Ideal for those looking for beers with character and a real history behind it. Leffe is not only a brand with centuries of experience, it is a symbol of Belgian cultural resistance, of brewing and of well-understood pleasure. In Dinant, you can still visit the Leffe Museum, a place where history and beer are served in the same glass.
