Budejovicky

Budějovický Budvar, founded in 1896 in České Budějovice, was born from the impulse of local entrepreneurs seeking to preserve Czech beer identity in front of German rule. Since then, the brewery has kept alive a tradition that adds almost 750 years of history. Its emblematic lager is world-renowned as Budweiser Budvar or Czechvar in North America, and is a symbol of quality, balance and character.

The brand has been the subject of a long international legal dispute against the American version of "Budweiser", fighting for ownership of the name which, in German, means "Budvar Water." This defense of its legacy is also reflected in the distinctive IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) that appears on its labels, ensuring that its beers meet three key standards: being a traditional product, made from local raw materials and with high quality standards.

Budějovický Budvar is not just a beer: it is a declaration of national pride and Czech authenticity, fermented with patience, history and passion.
