Gulden Draak

Gulden Draak is not just a beer, it's a liquid legend.

Born in the Van Steenberge brewery in 1986, this iconic Belgian beer takes its name from the imposing Golden Dragon crowning the Ghent bell tower, symbol of power, history and eternal fire. But its history goes back even further: this dragon was in his day the bow mask of a Viking ship, which after crusades and battles ended up at the peak of Santa Sofia, then in Bruges and, since 1382, proudly watches over the city of Ghent.

With every drink of Gulden Draak you travel in time. Its intense, deep and complex flavor is designed to accompany epic moments, memorable toasts and nights in which, if you look up, you can see how the dragon spits fire illuminating the city. What better pairing for that instant than a beer that pays homage to its legend?

Gulden Draak is a tradition, character and a wink to the eternal. A strong beer, rich in nuances and with a personality that, like the dragon who inspires it, does not go unnoticed.
