Scottish Beers

The appearance of beer in Scotland dates back more than 5000 years, when the Celts populated the area. Undoubtedly, the relationship with the British has had its ups and downs throughout history, and beer has not been exempt from this tumultuous relationship. Over the years, the difference in the cost of beer production taxes between the British and the Scots has always been a source of problems and disputes.

In our time, and thanks to the craft beer boom in the United States, these beers burst onto the scene with force through two young Scotsmen in Aberdeen; in 2007, BrewDog was born, which represented a revolution both for its beer styles and for its punk image and its aggressive and fun marketing campaigns.

But this should not overshadow other Scottish manufacturers that have decisively contributed to Scotland's powerful Craft movement, such as Harvestoun or Fine Ales.
