Dupont

This brewery originated in a farm in 1759, which in 1844 became the Rimaux-Derrider brewery, specializing in honey and seasonal beers called “Saison”. These beers were made in winter to be consumed in summer during work in the fields.

In 1920, Alfred Dupont acquired the brewery for his son Louis, who developed the iconic “Saison Dupont”. In 1945, Louis’ nephew, Sylva Rosier, took over the management, ensuring the continuity of the brewery and launching the Redor Pils in response to the growing popularity of the pils. Later, Brasserie Dupont expanded its range with biological beers such as the Moinette Biologica and the Bière de Miel Biologica, consolidating its prestige and commitment to sustainable practices.

Until 1986, the brewery was focused on the local market, producing around 4,000 hl (hectolitres). In 1992 exports began, and since 2003, production has grown significantly, exceeding 30,000 hl in 2019.

Currently, it is owned by the descendants of Sylva Rosier. His grandson Olivier Dedeycker, a brewing engineer, joined the company in 1990 and took over management in 2002, representing the fourth generation of this brewer family.

The Brasserie Dupont has theBE-BIO-01 certificatewhich ensures that its products are organic according to European Union standards. This certificate guarantees sustainable production practices, without pesticides or synthetic chemical fertilizers, thus respecting the environment in each process.
