Cardeña

Cardeña Beers is born from the spiritual heart of the Monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña, one of the oldest cenobios in the Iberian Peninsula. Located in Burgos, north of Spain, in the independent community of Castile and Leon, belonging to the Order of the Strict Observance (trapenses), this monastery decided in 2014 to take a step towards the monastic brewing tradition that has delighted the world for centuries. Inspired by the excellence of the Trappian beers, the monks began the creation of their own beer with the purpose of bringing their spiritual and artisan legacy to this international brewing family.

Although the brewery could not finally be installed inside the monastery, the production of Cerveza Cardeña has always been supervised by the monks, which allows the term "trapense" to appear on its label. This spiritual and craft dedication brings to each bottle an authentic character, respectful of monastic tradition, and in line with the values that have made Trappian beers a symbol of quality and devotion.

Today, Cerveza Cardeña represents much more than a drink. It is a bridge between centuries of spirituality and European brewery art, a unique proposal within the trappense universe that celebrates patience, tradition and the balance of ingredients with unparalleled elegance. Ideal for those who seek deep, authentic and historical flavors.
