DEYA beer: the modern British style you have to try
Compartir
DEYA Brewing Company has established itself as one of the most beloved and recognized breweries in the United Kingdom. Founded in Cheltenham, DEYA has built a clear identity. Their approach stands out for its creative use of hops and a deep respect for classic UK styles, always reinterpreted with a contemporary twist.
DEYA views beer as a meeting point. This direct connection with the community, their sustainable work ethic, and their “Keep on Crocin’” philosophy —an invitation to keep enjoying what makes you feel good— make DEYA an authentic and approachable brewery.
In this Beer Republic post, we offer you a guide to choosing your ideal DEYA based on what you feel like drinking, the occasion, or your preferred style.
Before we begin: what DEYA beers do we have at Beer Republic?
If it is your first time with DEYA, we are here to help you get started: at Beer Republic, you will find both their core range and a selection of constantly rotating new releases.
The core range consists of three beers that perfectly define the brewery’s style:
- Steady Rolling Man, their most iconic pale ale.
- Into the Haze, a juicy and balanced IPA.
- Tappy, a clean and crisp German-inspired lager.
These references are available on a steady basis, so you can count on them to order again, compare, or recommend.
Aside from these, we work with the new releases that DEYA launches periodically: limited-edition beers that change according to the season and bring new recipes, collaborations, and experimentation. This is where DEYA gets creative, and where you can try something different every time.
And if you want a more complete experience, you will also find selected packs that combine several beers (including some surprises) along with official glasses or even t-shirts. Everything is designed so you can explore the DEYA universe however you like best.
Steady Rolling Man: the cult pale ale
A 5.2% ABV English Pale Ale that has achieved cult status in the UK. Inspired by American Pale Ales, but with British execution: tropical profile, smooth drinkability, and a balanced malt base.
It is an ideal option to introduce yourself to the DEYA style. Light but tasty, it pairs very well with tacos, pizzas, or dishes with a bit of spice. It has that juicy touch that hooks you without being overwhelming. Drinkable, versatile, and with a lot of personality.
Into the Haze: juicy, fresh, round
A 6.2% ABV New England-style IPA, brewed with Citra and Simcoe. It offers notes of peach, citrus, and tropical fruits on a silky, smooth base.
Refreshing and tasty, it is a great choice if you are looking for an aromatic and well-balanced IPA. The hops come through clearly, but wrapped in a smooth texture that makes it very pleasant on the palate. Ideal for pairing with sushi, ceviche, or dishes with citrus touches.
Tappy: German lager with an English touch
Tappy is a 4.4% ABV German Pilsner that elegantly revives tradition. Saphir and Hersbrucker hops provide floral, herbal notes and a clean bitterness that blends with a freshly baked bread malt base.
Light with a dry finish, it is perfect for an aperitif or spicy dishes, fish, or mild cured meats. It conveys that classic, clean style with a noble bitterness that cleanses the palate without stealing the spotlight. A straightforward, well-made lager with no rough edges.

Break Me The Bigger: IPA with citrus peel
This 6.5% ABV IPA features lime and lemon peel, which accentuates its fresh and zesty profile. Aromatic, smooth, with medium body and a moderate bitterness that isn't overwhelming.
A good option if you want a refreshing IPA with a different twist. The natural citrus enhances the feeling of freshness, like an acidic kick within a smooth and creamy base. It combines especially well with Asian food, fish tacos, or ceviche.
My Phone on Snooze: intense and refreshing raspberry
A 7.2% ABV Berliner Weisse with raspberry puree. Acidic, fruity, and very expressive, with a vibrant red color and a light texture.
Ideal for hot days or to start a tasting session. It has that playful acidity, very lively on the palate, that cuts through sweetness and enhances flavors with elegance. Pairs well with red fruit desserts, creamy cheeses, or dishes with acidity.
Rue de Soda: light and functional pale ale
A 4% ABV American Pale Ale with Lorien, Citra, and Audacia hops. Fresh, citrusy, and floral, with a well-integrated medium bitterness.
A beer designed for everyday drinking. Its lightness doesn't take away from its complexity: each sip leaves a gentle trail of white fruit and lemon zest that invites another. Simple, but stylish. Pairs well with salads, grilled chicken, or mild cheeses.
Scale of Clarity: the renovated pub ale
This 5% ABV Pale Ale was created in collaboration with Woodshedding Beer. Inspired by British cask ales, it incorporates local wheat and barley malts, and hand-selected Harlequin hops.
The result is a beer with a smooth body, elegant malty character, and very British herbal notes. It works very well with classic dishes like fish & chips or burgers.
Visual Ear: the DEYA-style DIPA
An 8% ABV Double IPA with a brutal dry-hopping load: Citra Cryo, Mosaic BBC, Krush, Motueka Amplifier, and more. Hazy, silky, powerful, with an intense tropical profile.
Powerful yet balanced, designed for those who enjoy the most expressive IPAs. The texture is enveloping, and aromas of ripe mango and papaya unfold as you open the can. Ideal for pairing with spicy food, it also goes great with spiced burgers.

Packs to discover DEYA
If it is your first time with DEYA, the Pack Classics is an ideal way to get to know their core style. It includes three of their most representative beers (Tappy, Into the Haze, and Steady Rolling Man), accompanied by an official pint glass that enhances the experience. It is the perfect pack to start exploring the DEYA universe at your own pace.
Do you feel like a bolder selection? The Tasting News Pack brings together five references that show the brewery's experimental side: from the hoppy intensity of Visual Ear to the fruity acidity of My Phone on Snooze. It includes two 25cl half-pint glasses, ideal for sharing the experience.
And if you are looking for a complete option, the DEYA Mix Pack has it all: eight beers, two 0.25cl glasses, and an official brand t-shirt. It is the ideal gift (or self-gift) for DEYA beer fans, or for diving deep into what this brewery represents.
Which is the best DEYA for you?
That depends on the moment and your taste. If you want something light and refreshing, try Tappy or Rue de Soda. If you are looking for a balanced IPA or a well-hopped beer, Into the Haze or Steady Rolling Man. Something more groundbreaking? My Phone on Snooze or Visual Ear.
There is a DEYA for everyone, and at Beer Republic, we help you find yours. Write to us if you have any questions, and as they say: Keep on Crocin’.
