Don't miss out on celebrating Oktoberfest 2020

The world's biggest beer festival, Oktoberfest, has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under other circumstances, we would be talking about the projected number of attendees and liters sold, the exceptional atmosphere in the tents of the Munich breweries (the only ones with the right to participate in the event), and we would surely be putting together an Oktoberfest survival guide, as well as activities and must-visit local spots in the city.
Unfortunately, such a post makes little sense on this occasion, but we can share some interesting facts about the festival. Internationally, Oktoberfest is celebrated all over the world, but the largest festival outside of Germany has been held in Kitchener-Waterloo (Ontario), Canada, for 50 years, with over 700,000 attendees.
Due to excess alcohol consumption, in 2018, 555 wallets, 280 backpacks, 420 phones, 100 cameras, and the occasional child were forgotten and found.
The famous Oktoberfest tents are called "Wiesn" in German; it takes about 10 weeks to set up each of the 14 main Wiesn, they weigh approximately 600kg, and a total of 3,000 people are employed to assemble all the festival elements.
If you were planning to attend Oktoberfest this year, it won't be possible, but to help you cope with this terrible disappointment, we are offering our selection of German beers at a 10% discount, and furthermore, if you buy just 8 bottles, we will give you a free 1-liter glass beer mug, so you can enjoy your German beers as they should be enjoyed. Prost!!
