The Belgian collection gathers the great pillars of the Belgian brewing tradition, one of the most influential and respected schools in the world. You will find monastic Dubbel, Tripel, and Quadrupel, elegant Belgian Blondes for beginners, dark and blonde Belgian Strong ales with great aging potential, Abbey Ales of monastic inspiration, and Belgian Witbier, the traditional white beer rescued by Pierre Celis. These are complex, spiced beers full of nuances that demonstrate why Belgium is considered the global benchmark for top-fermented beers.
The common denominator is the use of highly expressive Belgian yeasts, capable of generating fruity esters (pear, banana, apple, prune, date) and spiced phenols (clove, pepper, coriander) that give the style its unmistakable signature. Also the use of candi sugar to reach high alcohol content without increasing the body, which produces beers that are paradoxically light and easy to drink despite their alcoholic strength.
In the glass, the blonde versions show luminous golden tones and the dark ones, reddish ambers or deep browns, all with spectacular creamy heads. On the nose: caramel, honey, nuts, candied fruits, sweet spices, and warm alcoholic notes. On the palate, well-integrated malty sweetness, lively carbonation that lightens the mouthfeel, moderate bitterness, and a dry, aromatic finish. The alcohol content varies from 4.5% (Witbier) to over 11% (Quadrupel).
These are extraordinarily gastronomic beers, ideal for pairing with stews, game, seafood, aged or blue cheeses, foie gras, paella, spiced dishes, or desserts based on chocolate and nuts. They are served between 7°C and 12°C in a chalice or tulip glass, which helps concentrate the aromas. Many age extraordinarily well for years. An essential collection to discover the pinnacle of the Belgian tradition.
