Technical Data Sheet
Description
The Basqueland SSD West Coast DIPA is a craft double IPA that pays homage to two great beer scenes: San Sebastián and San Diego. This updated version of the recipe refines the classic West Coast IPA character, taking it to a higher level with greater aromatic expressiveness, more body, and a bold hop presence. With 8.6% alcohol, it is an intense, modern, and perfectly balanced beer, designed for hop lovers seeking the most serious and aromatic version.
Characteristics:
Style: West Coast Double IPA
Alcohol by Volume: 8.6% ABV
Hops: Citra, Kohatu, Galaxy
Serving Temperature: 6–8 °C
Color (EBC): Deep golden and slightly hazy
Bitterness (IBU): High and well-defined bitterness
Character, Flavor, Aromas:
On the nose, it displays an aromatic explosion dominated by tropical fruits, with clear notes of pineapple, mango, and a touch of white grape. On the palate, it is powerful, with more body than is typical for the style, a firm malt base, and a clean, persistent, and elegant bitterness. The use of Citra, Kohatu, and Galaxy adds depth and complexity while maintaining the balance between alcoholic intensity and hop freshness.
Culinary Pairing:
Ideal for pairing with grilled meats, gourmet burgers, BBQ ribs, or spicy dishes. It also pairs perfectly with aged cheeses, spicy tacos, or intense Asian cuisine, where its bitterness and body balance powerful flavors.
Enjoy an intense, bitter beer loaded with character. Limited stock: don't miss out on this improved iteration.
