Description

Dougall’s Hoppy Pils 44cl is a modern reinterpretation of the classic pilsner style, designed for those who enjoy the crispness and drinkability of a lager, but are looking for greater aromatic expression from the hops. Refreshing, dry, and with a bright aromatic profile, it combines the crisp base of an Extra Pale Lager with American varieties that bring a citrusy, tropical, and slightly resinous dimension. A precise, direct, and extremely refreshing beer.

Characteristics:

Style: Hoppy Pils

Alcohol Content: 5% ABV

Hops: Cascade, Mosaic, Chinook, and Centennial

Serving Temperature: 4 – 6 ºC

Color (EBC): 5 – 7 EBC, very pale and brilliant gold

Bitterness (IBU): 30 – 35 IBU, firm but balanced

Character, Flavor, Aromas:

On the nose, it offers a fresh and expressive profile, dominated by citrus and tropical notes where grapefruit, lime, and light stone fruit stand out, accompanied by a subtle resinous background. On the palate, it is light, agile, and very refreshing, with a medium-low body and lively carbonation that enhances the crisp sensation. The bitterness appears clean, precise, and well-integrated, adding character without overpowering the whole. The finish is dry, clean, and persistent, leaving the palate ready for the next sip.

Food Pairing:

Its dry and hoppy profile pairs wonderfully with fresh and crispy cuisine: fish & chips, light fried foods, sushi, ceviches, fish tacos, or salads with citrus. It also works very well with light pizzas, smash burgers, and mild cheeses, where its bitterness helps to cleanse fat and enhance nuances.

The perfect choice for those who want a lager with a hoppy soul and an impeccably dry finish.
