Description

Gross Muxutruk is a benchmark NEIPA in the Basque craft beer scene, created to celebrate the pure expressiveness of modern hops. Born in Donostia–San Sebastián, it's designed for those who understand that a beer is not just drunk, but interpreted. It combines tropical juiciness, a silky body, and a deep aromatic profile that connects with the evolution of the New England IPA style in Europe. Its name evokes energy and character, and it conveys exactly that in every sip: controlled intensity, permanent freshness, and a finish that reminds you why NEIPAs changed the world's perception of bitterness and texture in beer.

Characteristics

Style: New England IPA

Alcohol Content: 6% ABV

Hops: Strata, Citra, and Idaho 7

Serving Temperature: Between 6 and 8 °C

Color (EBC): 5–7 EBC, pale and naturally opaque appearance.

Bitterness (IBU): 30–35 IBU, perceived as smooth.

Character, Flavor, Aromas

Muxutruk is intense on the nose with dominance of mango, ripe pineapple, and candied orange. On the palate, a velvety entry stands out, with a dense, medium body and creamy texture that persists until the end. The herbal presence of Strata provides balance and complexity, moving it away from simple fruity sweetness and closer to the most awarded NEIPAs on the international circuit. Fresh and expansive finish, with a prolonged echo of tropical fruit and a clean aftertaste.

Culinary Pairing

Ideal with hoisin pork bao buns, sea bass ceviche with mango, or burrata pizza with arugula and pesto. Its fruity and silky profile enhances creamy dishes and balances acidic or slightly spicy preparations.

A NEIPA that is not just drunk, but studied with every sip. Add it to your selection and understand why the style continues to set the pace of the current beer revolution.
