Technical Data Sheet
Description
The Westmalle Dubbel in its 75cl format is an iconic Trappist beer, top-fermented, with secondary fermentation in the bottle. Its historical origin dates back to 1933, when the monks of the Westmalle Abbey refined their "Dubbel Bruin" recipe, resulting in this dark, robust beer full of character. Brewed with roasted malt, dark candy sugar, noble European hops, and proprietary yeast, this larger size is ideal for sharing and enjoying its exquisite fruity body and caramelized notes on special occasions.

Culinary pairing:

It pairs exceptionally well with mild cheeses, small game meats such as pheasant or partridge, and traditional dishes like stews or rabbit in wine. It is also an excellent option to accompany rustic bread with ham.
