Hazy Pale Ale

The Hazy Pale Ale is the Hazy IPA's little sister: it shares the haziness, velvety texture, and aromatic punch of modern hops, but with lower alcohol and less hop intensity, making it a more sessionable option. It is one of the preferred formats for modern craft breweries to offer accessible beers without giving up the hazy style so popular today.

In the glass, it shows a light yellow to golden color, almost always cloudy due to the presence of oats, wheat, and hop particles in suspension, with a creamy white head and good retention. On the nose, aromas of juicy citrus, tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit, peach), and an herbal background appear, all layered over a very soft, almost imperceptible malty base. On the palate, it is light, with a medium body, silky mouthfeel, minimal sweetness, gentle bitterness (20-40 IBU), and a very aromatic and clean finish. The alcohol content ranges between 4.5% and 5.5%.

It is brewed with pilsner malts, flaked oats and wheat, modern hops like Citra, Galaxy, or Mosaic in intense dry hopping, and relatively fruity ale yeasts that enhance the juicy character.

It is a perfect beer for long sessions, terrace afternoons, after-work drinks, picnics, or games. It pairs with light cuisine, burgers, Asian food, tacos, pizza, or fresh cheeses. Serve between 5 °C and 7 °C in a tulip or pint glass. An excellent option for those who want all the aroma of a modern IPA but are looking to drink without the alcohol being too noticeable.
