Introduction to hops

The Introduction to Hops collection gathers the perfect beers to discover the world of hops without being overwhelmed. It is the ideal gateway if you are coming from industrial beer and want to make the leap to craft beer, or if you are simply looking for refreshing, easy-drinking beers with aromas of tropical fruit or citrus without an aggressive bitterness. You won't find Imperial IPAs or high-alcohol beers here: the idea is to enjoy hops in a friendly, accessible, and very gastronomic version.

It includes styles such as Pale Ale, Extra Pale Ale, Hazy Pale Ale, Session IPA, Micro IPA, Half IPA, Blonde Ale, and IPL. All these families share a moderate alcohol content (generally between 3% and 5.5%) that makes them sessionable, a present but gentle bitterness, and a load of hop aromatics that are noticeable on the nose but do not dominate the palate. In short, beers designed for hops to seduce, not to challenge the palate.

In the glass, they show colors ranging from golden yellow to light copper, with creamy white foam and, in some cases, a characteristic light haze. On the nose, aromas of grapefruit, orange, mango, peach, pineapple, fresh grass, or pine appear over a light malty base of biscuit or bread. On the palate, they are refreshing, with medium or light body, minimal sweetness, lively carbonation, and a dry finish that invites another glass.

These are perfect beers for terraces, long afternoons, light meals, or any moment when you want to enjoy yourself without overdoing it. They pair extraordinarily well with Asian cuisine, sushi, salads, fish, chicken, pizzas, light burgers, or tapas. They should be served between 5 °C and 8 °C in a tulip glass or pint glass. An essential collection for starting out in the universe of hops and discovering a completely new aromatic world.
